Dear Debian folks,
The installed size of the package *inkscape* is 12 MB, and all of it
seems to be locale files.
$ LANG= du -ch /usr/share/locale/*/LC_MESSAGES/exiv2.mo | tail -1
12M total
Two biggest files:
$ LANG= du -sh /usr/share/locale/*/LC_MESSAGES/exiv2.mo | sort -h |
tail -2
944K /usr/share/locale/uk/LC_MESSAGES/exiv2.mo
952K /usr/share/locale/ru/LC_MESSAGES/exiv2.mo
As *gnome* and other programs seem to depend on *libexiv2-28*, which in
turn depends on *libexiv2-data*, would it be possible to split those
locale files into separate packages to reduce space usage a little?
