Package: fwupd Version: 1.9.26-2 Severity: normal When trying to upgrade the UEFI dbx I get the error: Blocked executable in the ESP, ensure grub and shim are up to date: No valid 'EspLocation' specified in /etc/fwupd/fwupd.conf
Firstly even with the -v option it doesn't tell me which file allegedly is blocked. Also I have an EspLocation specified but it isn't accepted for unknown reasons. Better error reporting on why the EspLocation isn't valid is needed. From this error I don't even know if the claim about grub/shim being blocked is due to the EspLocation. As an aside I'm not using grub/shim, this system uses systemd-boot. That might be a contributing factor to the fwupd problems, but without useful error messages I can't be sure.
