Hi,
The ticket has not been addressed, but instead randomly closed. Please give an
explanation for:- Why it was closed against an an unrelated commit.- Whether
there is going to be any thoughts put into the spirit and content of the bug
report, or am I just wasting my time expecting some responsible behaviour from
debian maintainers?
With disappointment,--Samveen

Package: fortune-mod
Version: 1:1.99.1-7.3
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

As per Bug #1024501 (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1024501),
there is no reason to disable the fortunes-off package as per the debian code
of conduct. Quoting from Roberto's(<robx...@debxan.oxg>) response in the
aforementioned ticket:

<quote>
Since it is evident that the Code of Conduct does not apply to the
content of packages in this way (nor can it), and absent a clear policy
permitting the removal of a package based on its content not being
agreeable, can we close this bug report?
</quote>

However the fortunes-off sub-package has been disabled in Bookworm as per
changelog for version 1.99.1-7.2 at
https://sources.debian.org/src/fortune-mod/1%3A1.99.1-7.3/debian/changelog/

I request that this unilateral removal be reversed.
