Source: petsc Version: petsc library compiled --with-64-bit-blas-indices Severity: wishlist
Dear Maintainers, as a computational scientist, I develop codes that need to use petsc, slepc, _and_ lapack/blas with 64 bit indices simultaneously. As a result, I currently have to compile my custom version of petsc and slepc enabling the --with-64-bit-blas-indices option. Since now 64-bit indices versions of lapack, blas, and scalapack are packaged in debian, it would be feasible and awesome if you could also provide a debian packaged version of petsc compiled with the --with-64-bit-blas-indices option enabled. it would actually be _relatively_ easy, since you already provide the "64" versions compiled with the --with-64-bit-indices option enabled. Thanks for all the great work, best regards Best regards, bye Giacomo Mulas -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (401, 'unstable'), (10, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.11.4-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=it_IT.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=it_IT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled
