Hi,

the package pentium-builder came up as candidate for the Bug of the
Day[1]. I've checked the package which contains two tiny Perl scripts
setting environment variables. The according manpages contain
information like

       DEBIAN_BUILDARCH
If set, the architecture to compile for. Useful values are
pentium or pentiumpro.

       DEBIAN_BUILDGCCVER
If set, the version of gcc to be invoked. Useful values are 3.0
or 2.95.

which seems to solve problems way in the past.

I see a lot of open bugs[2] for this package - most of them with no
answer from the maintainer.

I'd suggest to remove this package from Debian.

Kind regards
   Andreas.
