0.64 will hit unstable sometime next week I hope (waiting for the base64
transition to migrate first). I am not planning to upgrade beyond the version
that rust-cargo needs at any given point in time, and packaging two versions of
gix is not really feasible given the number of involved crates. 0.66 might not
make the cut before the freeze, depending on when/how fast cargo upstream
updates..
may I ask what you need the newer version for? Does it absolutely require 0.66,
or would 0.65 or 0.64 potentially work as well?
