During the miniDebconf in Cambridge you mentioned you'd like to receive a feature request for dgit to warn the uploader during the Debian freeze. So, here it is. Machine readable information about the freeze phases and dates can be found here:
https://release.debian.org/testing/freeze-and-release-dates.yamlSide note: dupload has a feature to warn about uploads that are part of a transition, maybe that's worth a feature too. The discussion happened in bug 1060367, with some design choices on the dupload side that might be worth sharing.
