Package: abcde Version: 2.9.3-1 Severity: minor CPU speed has been steadily increasing while CD/DVD drive speed hasn't. On a recently purchased DVD drive I can rip a CD in 11 minutes and flac -8 encoding takes about 12 seconds per track giving about 2 minutes of CPU time. At worst that's a 20% increase in ripping time which is worth it for saving space on the playback device. Ideally it would do encoding while running cdparanoia and only increase the running time by 12 seconds.
