This is a modification of the Crypt::RSA module to remove all use and dependencies on Pari and Math::Pari. If GMP or Pari are available on the system (libmath-bigint-gmp-perl is available in debian; Pari is not), then the system will be significantly faster, but it should be functional without it. For Debian, that probably means that this package should ultimately Recommends: libmath-bigint-gmp-perl. This package is an explicit dependency of Crypt::OpenPGP, which is undergoing recent upstream modernization work by Tim Legge (https://github.com/perl-Crypt-OpenPGP/Crypt-OpenPGP) With Crypt::OpenPGP as a target, another approach would be to offer patches to Crypt::OpenPGP to use Crypt::OpenSSL::RSA (which is already in debian as libcrypt-openssl-rsa-perl)), that would defeat the "pure Perl" stated goal of Crypt::OpenPGP, so i don't think that Crypt::OpenPGP upstream would be particularly receptive to that approach. --dkg
