Package: mariadb-client Version: 1:11.4.3-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I tried to dump a mysql database (mysql is running version 5.7.44) with mariadb-dump, but it fails with this message: mysqldump: Couldn't execute '/*!100100 SET WAIT_TIMEOUT=DEFAULT */': You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '0 SET WAIT_TIMEOUT=DEFAULT */' at line 1 (1064) I tried adding --compatible with mysql40 and mysql323, but the same error occured nonetheless. Logging into the database with mariadb works as expected.
