cepces is an application for enrolling certificates through Active Directory
Certificate Services' CEP and CES protocols.
It requires certmonger to operate, which is already packaged for Debian.
This piece of software is written by SUSE and is packaged for openSUSE and SLES.
cepces may be used in conjunction with a domain joined samba/winbind, but can
be used without.

For example, cepces can use (but is not limited to) the machine's keytab
(provided by winbind) and talk to Active Directory
Certificate Services to request a machine certificate. Those certificates can
for example be used for
WPA2-EAP and 802.1x authentication, or be used as M2M certificates.

I have tested v0.3.9 on my Raspberry Pi 3 using a standard Debian installation
and it worked without issue.
The CEP/CES-Server is a Windows Server 2019.
