Bug#748244: Still present on 1.35+dfsg-3

Control: found 1.35+dfsg-3

I can still reproduce this while trying to run the podman upstream test 
suite. This has been noted as a bug before in 
https://github.com/containers/podman/issues/21373.

Interestingly, this has been reported as fixed in 1.35 (cf. 
https://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/tar.git/commit/?id=f8e14746d2ca72804a4520c059d7bf65ca00c5ac) 
but it seems to be still broken in Debian.

Any idea what might be going on here?
