Package: python3-pyopencl Version: 2024.1-1+b1 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: hri...@venev.name
Dear Maintainer, The version of pyopencl currently shipped in Debian cannot be used without writing to the filesystem. Even when the `PYOPENCL_NO_CACHE` variable is set, a cache is created and written to (but not read from). Providing a non-writable cache path results in a crash when creating an OpenCL kernel. This has been fixed upstream in https://github.com/inducer/pyopencl/pull/736. Consdier updating pyopencl to version 2024.2 or newer, or backporting the pull request. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Versions of packages python3-pyopencl depends on: ii libc6 2.40-2 ii libgcc-s1 14.2.0-3 ii libstdc++6 14.2.0-3 ii ocl-icd-libopencl1 [libopencl1] 2.3.2-1+b1 ii pocl-opencl-icd [opencl-icd] 6.0-2 ii python3 3.12.6-1 ii python3-mako 1.3.5-1.1 ii python3-numpy [python3-numpy-abi9] 1:1.26.4+ds-11 ii python3-pkg-resources 74.1.2-2 ii python3-platformdirs 4.3.2-1 ii python3-pytools 2024.1.14-1 Versions of packages python3-pyopencl recommends: pn python-pyopencl-doc <none> Versions of packages python3-pyopencl suggests: pn python3-matplotlib <none> pn python3-opengl <none> pn python3-pil.imagetk <none> pn python3-pytest <none> -- no debconf information
