It doesn't, and it was decided at debconf to use python-support for python modules. The python-support enabled script is already in the SVN repository, although still missing a few features. Anyway, Matthias' dh_python isn't backwards-compatible, so in the case you decide to move to it anyway, there should be a transition period during which both of them are available. -- .''`.
