Did anything else change in the same apt transaction where you installed
libvte-2.91-0? Please look at /var/log/apt/history.log and
/var/log/apt/term.log.
(For example, perhaps upgrading libvte-2.91-gtk4-0 didn't initially
upgrade libvte-2.91-common, but installing libvte-2.91-0 pulled in a
newer version?)
