Source: gpaste Version: 45.1-1 gpaste has a patch to enable it to keep using gcr instead of gcr4. Could you check if it can be removed now?
gnome-shell now builds with gcr4. gcr4 is built everywhere that gcr is (everywhere except for hurd). It's not really practical to remove gcr from Debian in the near future since gcr4 is a more limited library (no UI integration), but I don't think there is a reason to avoid gcr4 any more (I was avoiding it in gnome-shell earlier).
