In closing the bug with no further action, the autoremover will file a
new one. If you really want to keep the package, please also send a
status update to the rc bug.

This is not technically true. The autoremover checks for reverse
dependencies before filing bugs. I double checked now and I could not
identify any dependency chain leading from src:ttyd to anything
containing zmodem. The last build log also did not mention any zmodem.

Going back to our interaction on ttyd, I think what you mean to say is
that zmodemjs should become a build dependency of ttyd in order to fix
its rc bug. Is that correct?

In any case, please bear in mind that keeping broken packages in
unstable for prolonged time bears a cost to QA teams. I question whether
this cost is warranted in the case of zmodemjs and ttyd. If you do not
find time soonish, maybe it is better for Debian as a whole to remove
the package now and reintroduce it when you manage to find time.

Thanks for considering

Helmut
