surf has actually been the only early notification we have that webkit2gtk is not working correctly on armhf. Although that is more for Ubuntu since the development builds of webkit2gtk are only uploaded to Experimental and we don't yet routinely run armhf autopkgtests there.
ruby-gnome was recently updated and it looks like it also has the ability to detect when webkit2gtk is broken on armhf. ( webkit2gtk is broken on armhf now, filed as https://bugs.debian.org/1082148 ) Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
