Hi, I have maintained the source package ustr (the micro string library) (libustr-1.0-1, libustr-1.0-1-dbg, libustr-dev, libustr-doc), since 2008. To be honest, I did not touch the package for seven years https://salsa.debian.org/zito-guest/pkg-ustr . There is currently no need for it, IMO. The motivation for upload of this package into Debian was the libsemanage dependency on ustr. The last version of libsemanage that needed ustr was probably version 2.6. The current oldest version of libsemanage in the Debian repository is version 2.8 and it does not depend on ustr.
