It might be reasonable if we consider xsane to build-depends on libjpeg-dev rather than libjpeg62-turbo-dev. Using libjpeg-dev could pick up Debian's default choice of libjpeg library, and ease the configuration of any downstream distribution (namely Ubuntu). Please let me know if you have any thoughts.
