I would but uploads to stable need a bug with severity important (per policy § 
5.5.1 [1]) or in a special cas (per policy § 5.5.2 [1]) which does not seem the 
case
here.

The simpler solution would be to use a backport. I use such backport, see
http://deb.zincube.net/pool/main/g/graphite-web/graphite-web_1.1.10-8~bpo12+1_all.deb

I would prepare an upload if a DD steps in and says that upload would be
sponsored. Same for a backport. Otherwise, this can simply be closed.
