Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I'm working on importing the changes of the latest uploads into a git
repository with proper author information - is this anything that would
be welcome? Then we can set the Vcs- fields to git and use git for the
packaging fully and not the (which looks like it is abandoned) bazaar
repository.

I personally believe that bzr packaging is a bit of a scare for people
who wants to provide patches, and the fact that the repo isn't up to
date doesn't help either, so I believe that an up to date git repo
would be quite helpful.

I have done two uploads recently, but not pushed them to any public
repo, these I will include of course, and I believe this will help
potential new contributors too.

Michael Vogt (in CC), would you have anything against this? Asking,
since you are listed as the maintainer, but since you haven't made any
uploads since 2015, and the bazaar repository is out of date, my guess
is that you wouldn't mind, but still CC'ing and asking you since you
are in fact still (listed as) the maintainer.

And of course it would be welcome with input from all you other people
who have contributed too.
