Hey there - I've tried this on 3 different machines over some time and not been able to reproduce.
I've updated the packaging for chirp tonight (it's just hit unstable) not only with the latest upstream but with some tweaks, but reading the code none of that should have major impact - I don't see any calls to anything OS related that will cause shutdown. There's been quite a lot of work to the quansheng driver over summer [1] so hopefully this helps you! https://chirpmyradio.com/projects/chirp/repository/github/changes/chirp/drivers/uvk5.py?rev=master Cheers, -- Hibby Debian Developer Packet Radioist MM0RFN On Sat, 3 Aug 2024, at 5:34 PM, Hilary Snaden wrote: > Hi, thanks for the prompt response. > > I meant the Python wheel package from chirpmyradio.com, dated 20240706, > using the instructions there (pipx). > > My Quanshengs still have their factory firmware, I didn't want to try > alternatives until I had a backup, and the memories the way I want them. > > On 2024-08-03 14:20, Dave Hibberd wrote: >> Hi there, thanks for the bug!
