Package: libtest-simple-perl Version: 1.302201-2 Severity: important User: debian-p...@lists.debian.org Usertags: perl-5.40-transition X-Debbugs-Cc: p...@packages.debian.org
This package is uninstallable with Perl 5.40 (currently in experimental.) perl Provides: libtest2-suite-perl (= 0.000162) libtest-simple-perl Breaks: libtest2-suite-perl (<< 1.302200~) # apt install libtest-simple-perl perl [...] Unsatisfied dependencies: libtest-simple-perl : Breaks: libtest2-suite-perl (< 1.302200~) # dpkg -i libtest-simple-perl_1.302201-2_all.deb dpkg: regarding libtest-simple-perl_1.302201-2_all.deb containing libtest-simple-perl: libtest-simple-perl breaks libtest2-suite-perl (<< 1.302200~) perl provides libtest2-suite-perl and is present and installed. [...] I don't really know what to do about this. Maybe just remove the Provides on the perl side? That would mean that all dependencies on libtest2-suite-perl would needlessly pull in a separate package (presumably libtest-simple-perl as libtest2-suite-perl is going away as a 'real' package.) Will have to sleep on this at least. -- Niko Tyni nt...@debian.org
