As "Sound system" i have just "xine" and the "output plugin" is "Autodetect".

How can I do that? Do I have to compile amarok for that?

With a new user and the same song-collection amarok runs just fine.

Probably you are right. Right now I can always restart amarok after it's crash.
Maybe this is due to my dist-upgrade from yesterday.

As amarok runs fine for the new user I probably could just purge amarok and
then reinstall to make it work under the old user again, right? Do you want me
to submit any further information before I do so?
