this sounds like a valid bug report, but not a critical one, i.e. a reason for the package to be completely removed from testing. Especially, since the driver is marked as experimental. Since the debian package doesn't carry any patches regarding riello_usb, this is most likely an upstream issue which you best report at Once you've done so, please report back with the issue number, so we mark this bug reported as forwarded accordingly.
