Hi

I would like to salvage your package quickplot by following the Package
Salvaging procedur which is described in Devveloperrs Reference[1].
Your package is fulfilling the following criteria for the salvage
process:

  - Bugs filed against the package do not have answers from the
maintainer (interestingly BTS claims unknown maintainer on
    general BTS page[2])
  - There are QA issues with the package.

I think your package is a good fit for the Debian Science team and thus
I've just created the Salsa repository here[3].

Your package showed up in the Bug of the Day[4] initiative.

Kind regards
    Andreas.
