When I looked early this morning, it said "TEMPLATE resume". This is what eventually led me to realize it was yaird that was broken and not the kernel. I don't have yaird installed any more, but I remember this explicitly, because there was a suggestion to use "TEMPLATE resume /dev/hda5", which I tried (/dev/hda5 being my swap partition). It actually failed while generating the initrd, saying something about an invalid option. > > Sorry for filing this one a dozen or so times--reportbug went very, > > very awry. > > No problem - Max was swift on the "delete button" :-) Reportbug had a grave bug (ack! how do I report it? ;) ) which appeared to simply be misindented Python, plus an if statement without a colon after it (causing Python to bork when trying to interpret it). I "fixed" these, and this seemed to make reportbug work. Unfortunately, this also caused it to send the bug report in a loop. Up until then, I had been planning on sending the .patch ;) -- Stephen Touset <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
