FWIW, libesmtp and its reverse dependencies are now removed from testing, so I'm pretty much interested seeing it in trixie. Upstream has not responded to the Ubuntu proposed patches in https://github.com/libesmtp/libESMTP/issues/21 . Can you try to approach upstream to see if upstream can deal with the issue in their preferred way and we can cherry-pick the fixes as needed? Regards, Salvatore
