Package: foot Version: 1.17.2-2 Severity: normal I launch foot from a keybinding from sway, or from another foot instance.
When i close a foot window (e.g. by exiting from the running shell), the following warning shows up in the system journal: ``` utempter[10509]: [ppid=10472] usage error ``` In this case, the foot process was 10472. I can work around this by adding the following configuration directive to ~/.config/foot/foot.ini: ``` [main] utmp-helper=none ``` Any foot instance that was launched when that directive was in `foot.ini` can close without producing the error message in the system journal. Feel free to reassign this if you think this is a bug in some other system component! --dkg -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing-debug APT policy: (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'testing'), (200, 'unstable-debug'), (200, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.9.9-amd64 (SMP w/20 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages foot depends on: ii init-system-helpers 1.66 ii libc6 2.39-4 ii libfcft4t64 3.1.8-1.1 ii libfontconfig1 2.15.0-1.1 ii libpixman-1-0 0.42.2-1+b1 ii libutf8proc3 2.9.0-1+b1 ii libwayland-client0 1.22.0-2.1+b1 ii libwayland-cursor0 1.22.0-2.1+b1 ii libxkbcommon0 1.6.0-1+b1 ii ncurses-term 6.5-2 foot recommends no packages.
