tags -1 fixed-upstream We use the ncurses library to store the displayed characters and use that library to determine what has changed. It only holds the visible parts, so changes outside the ncurses window are not stored and cannot be compared.
I've added a note to the watch manpage which all we can do without some major refactoring. That may occur, but this method also causes watch to not display all the colours. - Craig
