Package: firefox Version: 1.5.dfsg+1.5.0.3-2 Debian / testing
Not sure if it's a FF bug or something else. 1. Goto http://www.fictionbook.ru/author/tolkien_john_r_r/the_lord_o_1_fellowship_of_the_ring/tolkien_the_lord_o_1_fellowship_of_the_ring.html#TOC_id2882768 2. Read the first paragraph of Chapter 2: "The talk did not die down in nine or even ninety-nine days. The second disappearance of Mr. Bilbo Baggins was discussed in Hobbiton, and indeed all over the Shire, for a year and a day, and was remembered much longer than that. It became a fireside-story..." 3. I see "fireside" in FF as "freside" with a dot above "r", that is "i" and "r" in "fire" are too close together so one doesn't even see the "i". "Flash" one line below also has a problem, that is, "l" and "a" are too close together. 4. If I paste the above text (see (2)) in kwrite the problem does not appear to exist there.
