aws-checksums was originally packaged as a dependency of awscli v2, but the approach we were taking with its dependencies turned out to be unsustainable. aws-checksums is the only of several dependencies currently in Debian, and it serves no useful purpose. It's not buildable or installable in its current state and has no rdeps. noah
