Package: ntp-server
Version: 1:4.2.0a+stable-8.1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

ntp-server (1:4.2.0a+stable-8.1) is running on this box.

Every time that I try to install another package, (dist-)upgrade the
system, or reinstall ntp-server, it throws error, and causes other
installations to show as IN-complete:

    # sudo aptitude -P reinstall ntp-server

Yes, I know that this is partially a result of the way my apt,
preferences and pinning are configured. Nevertheless, this particular
version of ntp0-server is broken; and I do not know how to fix it; nor
to avoid these nasty ramifications.

What do you think?
