I moved it away from M$ github after they changed their terms of use. It lives at: https://git.tiwe.de/libpam-pwdfile.git/ > and the last change was over 10 years ago. I don't use it anymore, but it still has quite large popcon. For some use cases it might be ok to bind-mount some other file over /etc/ passwd for a service as an alternative to using this module while for other use cases it is not.
