Hi Bradikesh,
sorry for not responding to you earlier, I see you've been quite busy
with maintaining your branch.

Hello Team,
As we know there are many golang dependencies that requires update and
some new golang dependencies are also needed to be added for Docker 24
and above.
I agree.
Here, we have a team of few people that are willing to work for
updating the go packages and others.
I'm not sure whether you are following our mailing list at
https://lists.debian.org/debian-go/ but I would strongly encourage you
to start participating there. At least I haven't seen you posting any
mails to that list so far.
We need it urgently, so we are also giving some effort to update go
packages and docker.
Kindly let us know which package you all are focusing, so that it will
not coincide with your go package work.
Well, at least I am spending most of my team trying to figure this out,
and still don't think I've figured it out completely. I imagine the this
is similar to the other participants on debian-go. We do not have
dedicated leadership, all the analysis and planning is
happening in the open. As such, it would be inappropriate to answer to
your question in a private mail. Let's please do that on the list.
As you can see from my recent posts there, I've been kind of distracted
from packaging docker by looking at protobuf, gogoprotobuf and grpc, and
believe to have come to the conclusion that we may need to update
containerd
to 1.7 to untangle the gogoprotobuf mess. Which in turn would allow
(if not even force) us to go straight to docker26.
Best,
