Hello,I believe that this issue concerns a nowadays old release of debian, and also from what I found there was an item in the NEWS file for version 2.3.5-1 that explained the changes required in the config with regards to the new config split, specifically it was mentioning to make sure to migrate over the 'precreateperms' option to accompany the 'dyndir' option.
So I think there is nothing to be done at packaging level, unless we can reproduce on a more recent release.
