Package: git-buildpackage Version: 0.9.32 Severity: wishlist X-Debbugs-Cc: guillaume.yziq...@mailfence.com
Dear Maintainer, Hi. Context: toying around with packaging for tasksh package upstream fix. The --no-sign option that allows me to build my package without access to the Debian maintainer's private key is not documented in the documentation of git-buildpackage. Anywhere I've looked around. If it is, it is well hidden. This is confusing for the following reason: people trying to hack off a quick and dirty package have to disable signing the package; but the only thing the documentation talks about is signing tags. That confusion has held me back in the past. Documenting --no-sign would make things much easier. Lower the entry bar. Please consider. Best regards. G.
