I wanted to notify you of a bug recently submitted to the Debian Bug Tracking System: #369503 [1] it seems that samhain cannot be built with the latest autoconf version, when running autoheader it will not be able to work and spits out this error: configure.ac:44: error: m4_defn: undefined macro: _AC_LANG autoconf/lang.m4:157: AC_LANG_POP is expanded from... autoconf/c.m4:556: AC_PROG_CC is expanded from... configure.ac:44: the top level autom4te: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status: 1 autoheader: '/usr/bin/autom4te' failed with exit status: 1 The autoconf Debian maintainers have mentioned as an answer to my bug #370123 [2] that this is a problem with samhain's configure.ac using undocumented internal Autoconf features and that it should be fixed. I'm no autoconf expert and, consequently, have no clue as to how fix this for Debian so that samhain can build properly both in my system (with the latest autoconf version) and the build daemons that automatically build the Debian package for other (non-i386) architectures.
