That was my thinking too. Do not be sorry about this bug - it was worth keeping track of. A lot of transitions went in to making it work. Took a while, but I am glad to hear you have it working. (It had originally passed the high bar of "It worked for me when I tried it before uploading to Debian unstable".) Soon I will update my "testing" machine, and try out gqrx there myself.
