Hi, I've absorbed my package bekeley-abc into src:yosys, as yosys-abc. However some unmaintained packages in Debian still depend on berkeley-abc. I've reviewed the possibility of just swapping out the dependencies for yosys-abc (since it's compatible) but it seems too much effort for packages that haven't been properly maintained since 2019 and I don't care about or use. Unfortunately Ruben, the previous maintainer of these ASIC flow tools, said he doesn't have time anymore back when I asked about taking over the FPGA related tools. I don't think anything changed there. I asked if anybody wanted to maintain qflow/opensta on the pkg-electronics-devel ML[1] but got no response. [1]: https://alioth-lists.debian.net/pipermail/pkg-electronics-devel/2023-September/010490.html Consequently I'd like to request removing berkeley-abc and all it's rdpends (qflow and graywolf) from unstable. While graywolf only recommends qflow it doesn't seem very useful without it. Note: src:debian-electronics also still recommends some of these but I'm working on an upload to remove those pkg relationships. We may also want to consider opensta since it seems useless other than as a dependency for qflow. Thanks, --Daniel
