I've eventually found the cause concerning the xterm behavior: I had *VT100.reverseWrap: true for XTerm, and this, since at least April 2002. It seems to have been the default in the past (I could see in my mail archives that other users had it too), and I had never changed this part of my config since then. So I suppose that this bug can be closed. I'll probably remove this setting if I cannot find any information about why it was set... -- Vincent Lefèvre <vinc...@vinc17.net> - Web: <https://www.vinc17.net/> 100% accessible validated (X)HTML - Blog: <https://www.vinc17.net/blog/> Work: CR INRIA - computer arithmetic / AriC project (LIP, ENS-Lyon)
