Package: linux-image-2.6.16-1-686 Version: 2.6.16-12 Severity: normal My machine has a PATA Optorite DVD/CDROM RW optical drive and a SATA harddisk. When I run with a self-compiled vanilla kernel 2.6.14.6 (from kernel.org rather than from Debian), it recognizes both drives. When I run the Debian 2.6.16-1-686 precompiled kernel, it ignores the PATA Optorite drive.
