Package: maxima-emacs,xemacs21 Severity: normal Dear Maintainers,
Seems that [#969410] maxima-emacs: maxima-emacs 5.44 does not work with XEmacs [#999626] maxima-emacs: fails to install with xemacs21 are back, since mmm-mode-el dropped xemacs21 support and no longer provides cl-lib. I am including xemacs1 package in case maintainer wants to add something. I see some possible approaches, 1) Drop xemacs21 support from maxima-emacs. I proposed a patch in #999626, should need more test and should probably be updated. 2) Create something like a xemacs21-compat-el package containing cl-lib and may be other compatibility stuff. 3) Include cl-lib somewhere in Debian xemacs21 package as a Debian feature. 4) Include cl-lib in maxima-emacs for local use.
