Marking this as affecting xfce4 and task-xfce-desktop so that it'll show up in the most likely places to report a bug in "the normal Xfce desktop", to avoid duplicates. > Ibus maintainers: on Debian (Xfce) live images for 12.5 it seems that at > startup ibus outputs an error message which shouldn't be there (no idea if it > should work or not, but at least there's no Wayland or Plasma involved). Note that this is (at least for now) a bookworm-specific bug report for a high-visibility message in live images. I haven't tested Xfce on older or newer suites. It's entirely possible that this is fixed in testing/unstable already: codesearch seems to indicate that the warning message "Keymap changes do not work (etc.)" has been removed from ibus at some point before unstable, leaving only a commented-out version in the .po files. smcv
