I am not sure about the process, but AFAIK there is nothing more I can do and I have to wait for a Debian committer to push it so that the fixed version is available to all Debian users. As far as I am concerned, I am still very interested in seeing the fixed version shipped in Debian! In case I missed something and the ball is in my court, please point me to the next move because I obviously missed it!
