Hi, if Debian would have active maintainers that would forward bug reports to the Authors or even help with real development work, it would make sense to send bug reports to Debian.
Unfortunately this is not the case and Debian did stop all activities a year ago. Instead of working on projects, Debian started to ignore their Social contract http://www.us.debian.org/social_contract and claims that free programs (that are under an aproved licenses) are unfree. I did see your report just by accident... As usual with option handling, the last option wins. This could easily be verified by a test. There are no plans to change the current behavior.
