I guess this could be backported till new upstream version is packaged.
This is a wontfix for now. I already did similar fix before for #1057668 (added a backported patch python-fix-invalid-escape-sequences.patch). These are just warnings, a minor annoyance, nothing more. Hopefully will be fixed by the next upstream version. /mjt
