For a 64bit kernel you need a 64bit iptables. The structures used to communicate with the kernel have different padding in 32bit and 64bit mode resulting in iptables to fail. Download the iptables from amd64 and install it manualy or with --force-architecture and also install amd64-libs. MfG Goswin
