I'm not sure if it's related to this, but on another, pretty similar system I did the upgrade and got the same errors. When I try to boot now I get Begin: Running /scripts/local-top Error returned from evms_open_engine(): No such file or directory. Done. Begin: Waiting for root file system... ... Done. ALERT: /dev/evms/Root does not exist. Dropping to shell! I use grub. I haven't rebooted the original system since running into the upgrade problem of my original report. Given this glitch, I think I'll try to avoid a reboot. Both systems have 2.6.15 kernels with an all EVMS file system and initramfs.
